My favorite foods!

This picture which i pasted on the left is a food names "Kasujiru". Do you know this food? I think most of people doesn't know. Because this food is from Kansai( the western part of the Japan). Many people in Keio comes from Kantou, where the Tokyo is located, so when i talk about this kasujiru to my friend, most of them says they don't know. The reason why i know this food is because my mother is from Kobe in Kansai.

In this photo , it is using sarmon. It has nice taste to have sarmon in it and most of house in kansai puts in sarmon into Kasujiru. However, in my house, my mother and my grand mother says that sarmon gets some kind of smell like fish. So we use beef to make kasujiru. There are many vegitables in the kasujiru too.

Anyway, the name Kasujiru comes from "Sakekasu" and "Omisosiru". You know Omisosiru (Miso- soup) right? However, this soup doesn't use miso. It uses the sakekasu. Sakekasu is something you get when you make the sake(alcohol). However, you don't need sakekasu to sake. We use that sakekasu to put the taste on. In my house, we will put in carrots, japanese radish, potatoes, konnyaku, and beef. It is very tasty and I like it since I was very young. However, most of my friends doesn't know kasujiru so I would like to make it and give it to my friend if I have chance.

I hope you know them if you were living in Japan.

They are famous artist, who came from Okinawa, where located in most southern part of Japan. As you can see in this picture, they have 6 people in group. However, they have 5 people right now because one of them went out from the group.

I first listened to their song when I was in 3rd or 4th grade. That time, song names " Locolotion" and " Hana" was very boom in Japan. They were on the very famous TVmusic show "Kouhaku", which shows in once a year in the end of the year. My friend and I were very exicited to watch them because we both loved "Locolotion".

After that, they released many CDs and they were all hit. They only release their CD in Summer. So I'm looking forward to listen to their songs every year before summer. My favorites of their song is "Viva★Rock","*~Asterisk", and "Champione". I'm looking forward to listen to their song this year too.

The woman in this picture pasted right is YUKI.

She is my most favorite female artist in Japan.

I first listened to her music when I was in 1st grade. She was not a famous singer at that time, but my parents had her CD in my house and i listened to them.

After that, I was forgetting her, but when I saw this album (picture) in CD shop, I remember it and I bought this album names "WAVE". In this album, there are many songs which I like. I like the song names 'Fugainaiya" the best in this album. Her song is mostly used for CM of shampoo in Japan.

Athletic day

We have athletic day coming on wednesday of this week!


I'm in E class and our color for athletic day is blue. Last saturday, I went to shopping with my friend to westchester mall and bought very cute blue T- shirt. It has shark printed on.



We will wear this T-shirt on athletic day!
I bought this T-shirt in the shop names 'dELiAs'.We both like the cloth of "dELiAs". I'm looking forward to wear this.

In athletic day, I'm gonna run a relay, and run short track, and doing shooting the small into basket thing. In 9th grade girls of my class, I'm the only one who has to do 3 things because i lost in janken. I'm not good at running so it may be a bad result. But I want to try my best.

In Athletic day, we have to dance for cheering every year. Parents are looking at them and they will choose which group will won and which will lose. We are doing Mickey and dancing Queen. Mickey's dance is very fast and it is very difficult. However, I practiced many times and right now, I'm almost perfect. My friend and I are practicing those in my room. Today, we had morning practice for dancing. Not everyone came to practice, but we did it from 7:30 am.

Athletic day is coming day after tommorow! Iwould like to make my dance more perfectly and won in dance!

Shofusai and Spring break

2weeks ado, we had spring reak and before that, we had Shofusai in this keio school. Today I wanna talk about shofusai and what I did in this spring break.



One day before the shofusai, we had preparation day. So we didn't have classes, but we had to come as usual and prepare for shofusai. First, I put the picture on to the outside wall. That picture which we putted outside is drawn by Tsukiko, my roommate. To put on the picture first we sticked many tapes to wall. We had to use chair to stick tapes to high place.



Then We had to prepare the inside. We had to put on two more paints to wall for pictures. Boys were making guns with chopsticks. After putting the pictures to wall, I had to make things for hooping game. We went to art room for color paper and we made colorful stickes for hooping game.



That day, we had "Zenyasai" afternoon. It is event which we have before shofusai. It was very fun

Yui Aragaki

The Girl in this picture is Yui Aragaki, my favorite Japanese model. She also sings and I love her song. She is 20years old right now. Because of her fashion sense and logical personality, she gained a large fanbase in and out of Japan. Her beauty, particularly her smile, is well-regarded in her home country. She is also considered as one of Japan's local celebrities who possess beautiful faces

She has height of 168cm. I'm 165cm, therefore she is bigger than me. She has long hair light now, and her hair is mostly black hair, but she sometimes die her hair for her dramas and movies. She is from Naha, Okinawa.

After seeing an audition notice for the junior fashion magazine nicola, Yui's sister sent in Yui's profile to the publishers and she auditioned, winning its Grand Prix award. As soon as she won, she became a nicomo, a term used to refer to the models of the said magazine.

As soon as she became to nicomo, her nick name is chosen. Her nick name is "Gakky" taken from "yui araGAKI". She is still called as Gakky even though she graduated nicomo.

I first saw her in drama, 'Dragon Zakura'. Her hair was light brown and skin was blacker than usual. So I didn't realize that it was Yui when I first saw her. However, I saw the commercial of shampoo, PANTENE, and since I saw that commercial, I like her. So I searched about her in computer and realized that girl, who was in "Dragon Zakura" with a brown hair and lack skin, was Yui Aragaki.

Since then, I love Gakky. She has really beautiful long black hair. So she is used as model of commercial of shampoo. I also watched her drama, " Papa to Musume no 7kakan". It means the "Father and Daughter's 7days". There were Daddy and Daughter in Tokyo. They were very normal family. However, one day, Daddy and Daughter ride on train together and accident happened. When they woke up in hospital, there body was changed! So Daughter was using father's body and going to company every day , and Father was using Daughter's body and go to school. There were many problems between them, but they all clear those problems and Went back to there own body finally. It was very fun drama.

She also acted on movie called" Koizora". I think every highschool and middle school girl in Japan knows this movie. It was Book at first, but it became movie acted by Haruma Miura and Yui Aragaki. I first cried a lot by reading book and i cried in movie again. It is very very sad story.

My sister

I have one younger sister. Her name is Yuki. She is in 7th grade now, so she is 12years old. Today, I would like to tell about her..

She speaks a lot in English, but her grammar is not so good. However, she doesn't worry about her grammar and talk to many people. So she has many friends. I was always worrying about my grammar when I was in Middle school, so I respect her about that part.

However, even her Japanese grammar is little bit strange. My family is moving many places of world and Yuki had been living in Japan for only 4years in her life. So she couldn't learn much kanji. Even though she is going to Japanese school in Saturday, Yuki spends most of her time with English, so she is not good at Japanese grammer. If I talk with her, she always connects the sentence by "But". I'm always saying that to her but she can't use the correct word.

Her week schedule is very busy, because she is taking the class of ballet, tap dance, and jazz. Yuki is also taking the class for study, and tutor to come to our house, and tutor for Math. She has all of them 2times a week except jazz and tutor to come to house. So she was always busy and I think I didn't spend much time with my sister in my house.

We are not alike. Our face is completely different and we are not so similar in style. I was tall since I was young, but Yuki is not that tall. She likes to wear jeans and wears it everyday,but I like skirt better than jeans. She hates Math and she always gets B- in her grade in Middle school, but I like Math and I was taking A. However, Yuki is very good at P.E and I was hating P.E the most in Middle school. So we are not alike at many things!

She loves to dance and sing better than studying or reading books. However, I like to read books and use computers than dance or sing. Even though we are not alike, we are very friendly sisters.

Boy's Lacrosse

Boy's lacrosse team has their first game today! It is HOME game and they are fighting with Japan's Keio, Keio Hiyoshi highschool, students. I'm manager of Boy's lacrosse team and I'm very looking forward for today's game!

Boy's Lacrosse team is new team. It is made this year and there are many freshmans, but no seniors. There are 9 9th graders, 4 10thgraders, and 4 11th graders. Reader of Boy's Lacrosse team is 11th grader, Chris Jinno. He is playing Lacrosse since he is 9thgrade. He is very fun. We didn't have coach for a long time, but about 2 weeks before, our coach came. He was playing lacrosse in his college and he is good at any sports. I sam him playing soccer with varsity soccer team students yesterday.

Other manager, Keiko, and I made riceball for them this morning. We started making those at 7:20am in morning and finished in 8:10am. There are many peoples in boy's lacrosse team, but there are only three managers, Keiko, Shiori, and me, but Shiori is not living in dormitory. So, there are only two girls for making riceballs. It was very hard to make at least 17 rice balls by just 2 peoples, but we tried hard and made 28 riceballs!^^

I wish many peoples will come to today's game and cheer the Boy's lacrosse team!><

Arashi

'Arashi' is my favorite japanese artist. They debut on 1999 so this year is 10th anniversary for them. They have released a lot of hit songs since they debut.

Satoshi is the leader of Arashi. But he is chosen by janken. Right now, he is in drama called "Uta no Onisan" ( means Music brother), and he is main character.He is wearing check cloth in this picture

I like Sho the best. He graduated Keio University and he is so smart. He is a caster of night news. He always do the rap part in Arashi's song. He is wearing green cloth in picture.

Masaki is in the center of the picture, wearing red T-shirt. He is in the TV show called 'Shimura Zoo' . He is regular member of that show and he likes animals. His parents are doing Chinese food restaurant.

Kazunari is very famous and he is in lot of movies and dramas in Japan. He is also in Hollywood movie called "iojima kara no tegami" ("letter from Iwo Jima"). He is in down left on this picture.

Jun is also famous because he is in japanese famous drama & movie called "Hana yori dango" and he is the main character. He is in down right of this picture!

"Colorful"

"Colorful" is my favorite book. It is Japanese book and it is written by Eto Mori

I first read this book when I was 5th grade. My mother bought this book for me to read.

This book's main character is a boy. He is already dead, but he gets chance to live again because he won a lottery to live again. Even though he didn't wish to live again, angel came and told him " You can live again!" and he started to live again.

However, he had told that he has to live as another human, so he started to live as "Makoto Kobayashi", a 14years old boy. He lived happily but he one day, he thought he wants to give Makoto's body back toMakoto. This means his soul dies and Makoto's soul goes back to Makoto's body. Then, angel says that " If you want to give back your body, you have to figure out what is your crime that you did in previous existence in three days." So he tries to figure out it.

Finally, He finds out that "He" was the "Makoto Kobayashi". He's crime is that he suicide in previous existence. So he decides to live again and not to suicide.

It was very unique setting and i enjoyed to read it. It is used as a musical right now and it is very famous. I would like to read more books of Eto Mori.

Indian Hills!

Yesterday, I went to Indian Hills highschool. Going to Indian Hills, we had to take a bus ride about an hour. I was sleeping inside that bus.

When we arrived to Indian Hills, three girls welcomed us first. we followed them and went to hall called "Little Theatre". Then we saw some pictures of this cultural exchange event. There were many pictures of senior and junior student right now.

Then, we separated in to small groups and went to school tour. The most interesting place I saw was Gym. It was really big and once I see, it was separated in to two. Howver, It is big and I thought it is really big if it is not separated. After the tour, we went back to Little Theatre and saw the talent show.

Two of Indian Hills girl played the violin at first and then, it was turn for Keio students. Some students danced, two boys played the saxophone, and some boys perfomed capoeira. It was very fun activity. After that, we ate lunch and i presented about Origami. I taught how to make Shuriken and Indian Hills students looked enjoying for me.

After those activities in school, we went to see falls and went to place where has nice view. Then, we went to bowling. In bowling, I was in same group as Mika and Mario. We played bowling two games. First game, I got 89 and I was the highest score. Next game, I couldn't get good score. I want to go bowling again.

Last weekend

Last weekend, we had President's day and it was 3day weekend.

On Saturday, I woke up at 8:00am and went to North dorm rotanda to make chokolate with my friend. It was easy to make chocolate and then, we put those in to refrigerator.
After eating lunch, my friends and I went to school to preparate for Shofusai, our school's big event of the year. First, we thought of designs and we drew the poster. Most of students in 9th grade were coming to that preparation.
Then, we got back to dorm and dressed up for valentines party. Everyone was wearing very cute dresses. Valentines party started from 7:00pm. It was very fun to watching performance of ZION, the dance club, and rock club. I took many picture that day.

Sunday, I woke up at 12:00pm and ate lunch. My roommate and friend were going to shopping, so I played volleyball with my friend. I like to play volleball so it was very fun. We used gym to play volley ball and at there, some students were playing basketball.
At night, after 12:00am, many friends came to my room and celebrated my bitrhday for me. It was my birthday, February 16th. I got many presents from my friends (^U^)

It was very nice weekend. However, I didn't went shopping last weekend. So I would like to go shopping this weekend!
